Today, we are happy to announce another 7 bands confirmed for this summer's Sweden Rock Festival.
Rose Tattoo is probably, with the exception of AC/DC, the most successful Australian hard rock band ever, at least outside their homeland. And yet, they rarely come to Europe and even more rarely to Sweden. This summer, however, it is finally time for Angry Anderson and his cohorts to fire away classics like "Nice boys" and "Rock'n'roll outlaw" at the Sweden Rock Festival again!
When hip hop legend and actor Ice-T formed metal band Body Count there were many sceptics, but their eponymous 1992 debut album caused something of a sensation - both thanks to its raw, rap infused metal sound and to the controversy surrounding the song "Cop killer". The band, which has been active on and off since then, recently received a well-received sixth studio outing and this summer they make their first Sweden Rock Festival appearance.
This summer will also see long overdue Sweden Rock debuts from Norwegian rock legends Turbonegro, Welsh reggae metal band Skindred and shred icon Bernie Tormé. Also confirmed for the festival are the classic glam rockers Slade and the brand new metal band The Dark Element, featuring Anette Olzon (ex-Nightwish) and Jani Liimatainen (ex-Sonata Arctica).
Sweden Rock Festival takes place in Sölvesborg on June 6th-9th. Previously announced acts include Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Helloween, Stone Sour, Heavy Load and Kreator. 3- and 4-day tickets will be made available this coming Friday at 09.00 CET.
